Daniel Simpson

Daniel Simpson's second feature is sci-fi horror feature THE RENDLESHAM UFO INCIDENT, with Newscope Films, LipSync Productions & Altitude Film Entertainment. The film has been shot on location in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk over two years.

Daniel's directional debut was the three year in the making stop-motion film 'h'. Funded by the British Film Institute, it ran at several of London's West End cinemas before gaining awards and recognition, as it travelled the world’s animation film festivals. The success of this film led to commissions by Film-Four to make further horror fantasy genre films, shot on 35mm.

Born in Bath, England in 1974, he began making short films both in live-action and in animation on Super 8, before going on to study fine art film at St Martins School of Art. On graduation he directed music videos through Partizan Ltd and his own company Luxor Films where he produced animated stings and short films. Recently his first feature film, Spiderhole had a limited release showing at a selection of cinemas including London's Empire Leicester Square. It is distributed by IFC in the USA where it also had a theatrical release in some key cities.
